My family and I are big fans of Legos. I even did a Lego post in which the savvy geek defeated the evil political co-worker! Remember savvy geek with the sword of knowledge?

For some more geeky Lego fun, check out this story at PC World of “Our Favorite Geeky Lego Creations“.
Fun stuff!

On some Fridays, I’m gonna try some new things. Words and writing come easily to me. Pictures, illustrations and graphics don’t come so easily. So I’m going to push myself out of my comfort zone and try to tell some of these stories via images.
In previous posts, we’ve covered the Geek 5, the definition of organizational politics, and tactics for becoming more savvy.
This first attempt at visual storytelling is inspired by creative use of Legos by Geekdad at Wired Magazine.

Geek with Sword of Knowledge

As I looked for new and different gifts this year, I stumbled onto a site called ThinkGeek.com. I was actually looking for sites related to the work I was planning on this blog. But I’ve been having fun perusing their site. They sell products for the geek-minded. Their tag line is “Stuff for Smart Masses”. Some of it is very cool and a lot of it is very funny. The site owners have a great sense of humor – I even laugh out loud reading their update emails.
They have some fun stuff. I mean who doesn’t need a Lego Head Lamp or a geek t-shirt? I ordered several Christmas presents from them (shhh…don’t tell my family). The site was easy to use and the products came fast.
If the products and humor aren’t enough for you, they also sponsor Techie Haiku contests and photo contests.
The site is worth a look. Remember, I’m not affiliated with them in any way. I found them by happy accident and I’m pleased to pass along kudos for the site.
